Shaandaar – Shahid’s upset over movie.

The shocking crash of Shaandaar has left the entire team of the film stunned.

Apparently, the most badly hit is Shahid Kapoor, who after the success of Haider was hoping to consolidate his shaky box office status with Shaandaar.

“He was never convinced about the script. He did the film for producer Madhu Mantena. The two are close friends. And he agreed to do the film in spite of the flimsy storyline for Madhu’s sake. But now Shahid is fuming. Because Shaandaar has not only failed to deliver the much-needed box office success to his career, it has also brought down the reputation of his father Pankaj Kapoor,” says a source in the know.

This is Pankaj Kapoor’s third fiasco in a row after Vishal Bhardwaj’s Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola and Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny.

Says a source close to the Kapoors, “Pankaj saab does very selective work. All his recent films have claimed to be quirky comedies. But have ended up being moronic mirthless worthless comedies. More than for himself, Shahid is upset for his dad.”

Many reveal that Shahid should have been careful to choose a good movie based on the strength of the plot.

Farzi

Earlier we had reported that Shahid Kapoor’s next venture Farzi had run into trouble with the actor gearing up for his marriage. Now we hear that the makers of the film have decided to replace the Haider actor. In fact, Arjun Kapoor will be stepping into Shahid’s shoes for the film.

Apparently, Farzi directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK was initially expected to commence shooting in November last year, but was later shifted to December. However the film suffered another delay when Shahid began shooting for Shandaar in London and returned to India only in February. Commenting on the replacement a source close to the film says, “Since Shahid’s dates have kept on changing, the makers of the film have thought of replacing the actor and got Arjun Kapoor on board instead.”

Produced by Eros, Farzi also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui playing a cop and Kriti Sanon who will now play Arjun Kapoor’s love interest in the film.

Kareena Kapoor Happy about Shahid Kapoor’s wedding

Bollywood beauty Kareena Kapoor Khan is quite ‘happy’ to hear the wedding of her ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor and says she might be part of the festivities.

The Bollywood Diva was in a relationship with the ‘Haider’ actor but soon the couple called it quits. According to NDTV, Kareena told in an interview, “I was aware of his marriage. Shahid had told me he is getting married. I am happy. Marriage is a beautiful commitment and I wish him all the best”.

Kareena who is shooting for ‘Udta Punjab’ along with Shahid Kapoor revealed that when they both performed at a recent event, Shahid Kapoor actually told her about getting married before he revealed it to media, nearly three months ago.
